My Bio
I'm a thirty year old from Montreal Quebec. I've been working on a comic for quite a few years, while working full time to go and live on a sustainable farm somewhere far away from the city. Recently my hours were cut at work, and I decided to go full steam ahead with the comic. I got an (AWESOME) wacom tablet, and am now working away at the computer instead of on paper. The only problem is that sketching storyboards for a graphic novel won't pay the bills. I've recently decided that now that I have some time, I'll also work on my other art, including metal sculptures of gears and mechanical parts, and tattoos. If I can sell some art while working on the comic, maybe I can make it through without the eight hour a day job that previous to now, I always thought was necessary.

I just started my indiegogo campaign to make castings of metallic sculptures that I make. Part of the pitch is that eventually, when I have the molds and the castings, I'm going to send the gears to other artists, locally and internationally, to paint and hopefully exhibit at a mixed media show in Montreal. If you might be interested in painting or drawing on gears, to make decorated sculptures or wall hangings, go to indiegogo and write on the wall, or drop me a line here. Just ran into my first indiegogo glitch. Sooooo glad I'm creating my campaign ahead of time. Here's some things to watch out for if you're engaging in your own fundraising.
Unlike kickstarter, which isn't available to Canadians, indiegogo does not run its campaigns on an all or nothing basis. On kickstarter, if you don't reach your goal, none of the people who pledge to support you have money deducted from their accounts. This is a way of protecting both the artist and the supporters, because if you don't make the amount of money that it takes to complete your project, you're not going to be able to provide the rewards that you promised to i
